I have recently returned from competing at the IFPA Show Me which was held in St Louis, Missouri, USA on Saturday 11th July 2009.

Monster Gym very kindly paid my airfare which was a fantastic help - thank you Steve and Angie!!

I was in a top quality line up of 5 IFPA Pro girls - first place went to the awesome Patricia Beckman and second to the lovely Cathy Vail.  The atmostphere backstage was great and the ladies in my class were very welcoming and friendly.  Unfortunately I placed last and took 5th.  I had dieted a little too early.  Looked good at 9 weeks out then had to try and overcompensate for my overdieting 2 weeks before the show - as a result i was a bit soft but depleted and did not look my best.

Dieting is tough, it's a science and a learning curve every time.  I got it wrong but am keen to rectify it at my next show - the IFPA Pro Worlds in Washington DC on 14th November.

So, it's early October and i'm 6 weeks out from the IFPA Pro Worlds in Washington DC on 14th November 2009. I will be travelling as part of the BNBF team which will include 4 male pros and 3 female pro physique and 1 pro figure competitor.  There are also 4 amateur athletes who will be travelling as part of the BNBF team - including my husband Lee who will compete in the OCB Amateur Masters class.  It will be great to be part of such a fantastic team, and i'm particularly looking forward to prepping and competing alongside Lee.

At the moment, prep is going well, I'm dieting slowly and steadily and feeling pretty good, although the show always seems to soon and bodyfat always seems so stubborn!!!
